Half Double was created out of frustration with models that don’t reflect project reality. It offers a more human and adaptive approach to creating real impact.

How was Half Double developed?

Half Double was developed by gathering insights from experienced project managers who shared their most effective practices. These insights were turned into a methodology and tested in over 50 pilot projects across different sectors. The method was in this way refined through real-world application, ensuring it fits the reality of modern project work.

What makes Half Double different from traditional project management methods?

Half Double puts impact before deliverables and people before processes.
It’s a hybrid approach that blends the best of agile and classic methods—built on the real-life practices of successful project managers and validated through research in collaboration with Aarhus University.

Who developed the methodology, and who stands behind it?

Half Double was developed by Implement Consulting Group and Aarhus University in close collaboration with Danish companies and project professional and with support from the Danish Industry Foundation. Today, it is driven and continuously developed by the Half Double Institute, whose Director, Christina Sejr Pedersen, was one of the original founders.

How do I become Half Double certified?

You can become certified by completing a course with one of our accredited training partners and passing the assessment. It typically takes around 3 days to earn the Foundation certification.

Half Double training and certification are available in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway through our accredited training partners. Courses are offered in both local languages and English, making the methodology accessible to an international audience. New markets and languages are also in the pipeline.
