Transcript - The Half Double Certification

00:04

we were looking for

00:05

someone in denmark who would be the most

00:09

recognized partner within project

00:11

management certification

00:13

and and we talked to you guys and you

00:15

said we would like to join in

00:17

yeah so now the question remain why

00:19

would you ever do that

00:21

yes that's a very good question now i'll

00:23

try to answer the question

00:24

okay and

00:27

the reason why it's such a good question

00:31

is just like in any other project

00:32

one should also ask oneself why should

00:36

we do this project

00:37

and why should i be an active part of it

00:40

and

00:43

we also did that when michael called me

00:46

and invited me in here as an active

00:47

partner

00:48

and um

00:52

the the the right answer to the question

00:54

relates very much to the mission

00:56

statement

00:56

of the danish project management

00:58

association and let's say something

01:00

about that we are here

01:02

to inspire the project society in

01:05

denmark

01:06

to do more value creating management of

01:09

projects

01:10

so the word inspire is very important

01:12

here

01:13

and when you look at the half double

01:15

methodology it definitely

01:18

will inspire the society to to to

01:21

further grow

01:22

the competences in managing projects and

01:24

agile assignments

01:27

moreover if you really deep dive into

01:29

the methodology

01:31

it's a lot about how we can be more

01:34

successful

01:35

with our projects

01:39

and another very important thing for the

01:41

danish project management associate is

01:43

is that we are here for the entire

01:47

project society private public sector

01:51

and we are not business specific in any

01:53

way

01:54

and that also applies to the half double

01:57

methodology

01:58

so all in all

02:02

half double definitely is a compelling

02:05

novelty that really is a good match to

02:08

our to the mission statement of the

02:10

danish

02:10

project management association so that

02:13

is why

02:14

i'm here and i'm very proud to be an

02:16

active part

02:18

of the project of phase iii

02:21

and i'm quite sure that we will be

02:23

successful with it

02:25

as michael just said we are we have been

02:29

invited

02:30

into the project because we are

02:33

to provide a new certification program

02:38

and let's just take a brief look at that

02:41

here

02:42

for your information there will be a

02:43

stand out there after the presentation

02:46

here

02:46

where you can and you're very welcome to

02:48

come and visit us and and

02:50

and we can go into further discussion

02:52

about what this

02:53

whole certification program is all about

02:56

but

02:56

let's take a brief look at it um we

02:59

are introducing a free level

03:01

certification program

03:03

and at the bottom here

03:06

we found the the the first level the

03:09

foundation

03:10

level and that is very much about

03:13

knowledge about the half double

03:14

methodology so you could say when

03:16

if you pass here you can go and tell

03:19

your colleague that now i understand the

03:21

half double methodology

03:24

moving to the second level up here

03:28

is about practicing half double

03:31

so if you pass here you can say well now

03:34

i can practice it

03:35

and at the very top here the third level

03:38

the master level

03:39

you also manage to succeed with half

03:42

double

03:43

that's just a very brief explanation

03:46

about

03:46

what the certification is all about

03:49

let's take a short look

03:51

a brief look at the roadmap that we have

03:53

prepared so far

03:56

we are doing this in steps and already

03:58

here in the first half of 2020

04:00

we are testing this and we're testing

04:03

the first two levels the foundation

04:05

and the practitioner level and hopefully

04:07

we will succeed

04:08

which will bring us in a position to

04:11

actually launch

04:13

to release these two levels for the

04:15

market in the second half of this year

04:19

moving into 2021 we are planning to

04:22

release the the master certification

04:24

level

04:25

first half next year

04:31

last thing that i have for you here is

04:33

um just

04:35

a few answers to the question why should

04:37

you consider

04:39

uh to becoming certified in the

04:41

half-double methodology

04:45

like with any other relevant

04:47

certification program

04:48

it's an excellent way for for you to

04:53

to prove your ability to prove your

04:56

competences

04:57

and this is very much about

05:01

being able to successfully apply

05:03

leadership

05:04

and create impact in your projects

05:09

um again um any

05:12

relevant certification if you pass it

05:15

you will

05:16

add further value to your to your market

05:19

value

05:19

and this also applies to the half double

05:21

certification program

05:23

definitely and third and last but not

05:26

least

05:28

definitely half double is inspired by

05:30

the whole agile mindset

05:32

and working principles but

05:36

we we we also refer to it as a great way

05:39

to work agile

05:41

even though you are not involved in

05:43

software or iit development projects

05:47

yeah thank you yes so yes but why would

05:50

you need

05:51

a certification standard to defuse the

05:54

half double methodology

05:55

i mean can we do without it yes we could

05:59

but i think we can do better with

06:00

a certification program definitely and

06:03

again

06:04

because if we are good at something

06:07

i think we would like to prove it uh to

06:09

other people

06:10

and we and we we would like some kind of

06:12

documentation

06:14

that we actually able uh to do this

06:17

uh at a given level okay so

06:21

and i and that applies both to

06:22

individuals and organizations

06:25

secondly um even though it's not as

06:28

an education uh if you go through a

06:31

certification program

06:32

i'm quite sure many of you can recognize

06:34

that

06:35

well it's you you put yourself on a

06:37

journey so you learn a lot more about

06:39

yourself

06:39

so it's kind of a personal education so

06:42

that will also automatically

06:44

raise your level of of of competences

06:47

okay yeah

06:48

so from an individual perspective this

06:51

would

06:51

increase my market value and and with

06:54

this standard we're trying to

06:56

to differentiate how from the others how

06:59

would this be different from taking a

07:01

pmi or

07:02

prince2 certification um i i

07:05

think that it it it is it is

07:09

because it's so focused on on on impact

07:13

and how you create more impact and more

07:16

value

07:17

and it's it's by selecting these nine

07:21

method elements

07:22

we have really simplified it in a way

07:26

and not saying that it's easy but it's

07:28

it's um from a knowledge perspective

07:30

more simplified

07:31

and and it's very special and unique in

07:33

its way

07:34

because it's so focused on how we can

07:36

even create more

07:38

impact and and saving time and resources

07:40

in the same way so it's it's

07:41

it's unique in its own way of course

07:43

it's based on a lot of proven

07:45

and well-known elements but bringing

07:47

these nine together and that's also what

07:48

i said on the video

07:50

that's the ingenious part of it and you

07:52

take something

07:53

proven well-known you bring it together

07:56

and you have a new method

07:57

methodology that's unique and very

08:05

compelling
